Leyte & Camotes Islands On Leyte, with a guide to accompany you, you should explore Ormoc, and Lake Danoe, or Tongonan National Park and Hot Springs. Vist local coconut farm and rice fields. Travel to Isabel, a small village 2 hours north. Take a boat to the Camotes Islands, and enjoy a beach resort at San Francisco. Take in the scene of General McArthur's landing point at Palo during WWII when the Americans began the liberation of the Philippines. You will be met at Cebu Airport and transferred by taxi and boat to Ormoc, Leyte. Enjoy the boat trip and stunning scenery as we pass smaller islands. Breakfast, Lunch & Evening meal. Day 2 - Trip to Lake Danao We take a trike into Ormoc City, then a local bus to Lake Danao. A short walk to the lake allows us to view one of the Philippines declared National Reserves - unspoilt beauty at its best! Breakfast, Lunch & Evening meal. Day 3 - Tour of Ormoc City We travel to the small city of Isabel north of Ormoc and take a short tour of the city. We return to Ormoc either by small boat, hugging the coastline, or local bus. Breakfast, Snacks during Day & Evening meal. We take a leisurely trip to view a coconut farm in action followed by a visit to see rice fields in their various stages. Four harvests a year ensure you see every stage. Breakfast, Lunch & Evening meal. Day 5 - Transfer to Camotes Islands We catch a boat to the Camotes Islands, a small group of three unspoilt Islands where we will stay at one of the Beach Resorts. Breakfast, Lunch & Evening meal. Day 6 - Free Day at Camotes Resort Today we relax and enjoy the facilities of the resort. Breakfast, Lunch & Evening meal. We hire a private car to take us into Tacloban City, where we take in the scene of General McArthur's landing point at Palo during WWII when the Americans began the liberation of the Philippines. Breakfast, Lunch & Evening meal. Day 8 - Return to Manila.
