Stunning El Nido

Boracay's famous White Beach has been described as the “finest beach in the world". This is a popular island, with numerous bars, restuarants and activities, where we spend a relaxing few days.

Puerto Princesa, the capital of Palawan, lies on Honda Bay, good for diving and watersports, and close to St Paul's Underground River.

El Nido is one of the top tourist destinations in Palawan, often referred to as the Philippines' "Last Frontier". Here you'll find a stunning landscape of limestone cliffs, blue lagoons, and amazing wildlife.

As with all our holidays, this tour is entirely flexible and may be shortened, extended or revised to suit individual requirements.

The largest annual congregation of Whale Sharks is in Donsol from December to May. These gentle giants are migratory animals, found in warm tropical waters as they follow their food supply. They migrate to Donsol in vast numbers to take advantage of the dense food concentration of plankton and krill.

The Fireflies on the Donsol river should not be missed, and it is easy to get mesmerized by their dancing!

Day 9 - Return to Legaspi

Enjoy a tour of Albay, first taking the road up Mt Mayon to enjoy spectacular views. See surrounding areas that have been affected by the volcano over the years, such as the Cagsawa Ruins, the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Porteria (Our Lady of the Gate), Deraga, and the Padang barangay of Legaspi City, which was buried in a landslide of ash and giant boulders as recently as 2006.

Also explore the Hoyop-Hoyopan cave, with its impressive stalagmites and stalactites, and Japanese tunnels. Ligñon Hill Nature Park offers commanding views over Legaspi and the city airport, as well as on Mt Mayon. The brave can also enjoy a zip-line ride here!

We spend today exploring much of what Bohol has to offer, including its six main attractions:

The Blood Compact, a marker which commemorates the spot where Datu Sikatuna, a native chieftain, forged a blood compact with Don Miguel Lopez de Legazpi representing the king of Spain, for the purpose of fostering friendly relations between the two countries. This is considered to be the first treaty of friendship between brown and white races

The centuries-old Baclayon church and museum

The Loboc-Bilar man-made forest

The remarkable Chocolate Hills, the provinceʼs signature attraction.
